If you are experiencing the following error when attempting to share content to Google Classroom from iCEV, you have not granted iCEV all permissions.
If you find yourself stuck in a permission loop when you try to share a resource to your Google Classroom while in iCEV, follow the steps below:
Sign in to Google and click your Google profile picture located in the top right corner of the browser. Click "Manage Your Google Account."
Click "Security" in the left navigation menu. Next, scroll down and click "Manage third-party access."
Next, click “CEV Multimedia for Google Classroom” and then click the blue "Remove Access Button." Verify by clicking the "Ok" button in the pop-up window. This will fully disconnect iCEV from your Google Account.
Open a browser that is NOT Google Chrome (e.g., Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc.).
Log in to iCEV in the new browser using the "Sign in with Google" button. Make sure you’re signing in with the CORRECT Google account.
From your "My Courses" page, select the course in which you would like to share content by clicking the green "View" button beside the course name. Next, click the green "View" button next to the lesson in which you would like to share content.
Find the lesson or activity you would like to share to Google Classroom and click on the "Share to Google Classroom" link/icon. An "Error" pop-up will appear. Click on the blue "click here" text to reset permissions. You will need to select the CORRECT Google account again.
Next, you must accept ALL seven permissions by clicking "Allow." Scroll down to review your permissions and confirm that all of the boxes are checked. Click the blue "Allow" button.
A pop-up window will appear allowing you to share iCEV content to Google Classroom. Make sure you select the correct class to share content within the dropdown menu. Enter a title and instructions and click the yellow "Share" button. If content was shared successfully, you will see a confirmation screen.
